I was diagnosed in 2011 Over the years I have found my own path of dealing with this disease.
Experience comes with the years. If only there had been more guidance of living with Diabetes on a daily basis, it would have been a lot easier to maneuver through life.
Once you’re diagnosed you have to find out the hard way.
With lots of research and hardship I figured out ways to make life a lot easier and fun. It’s been a long journey of self research and falling down and picking yourself up again.
I decided to educate myself and did numerous Diabetes courses to understand how to help others so they do not have to go through the same struggle as I had to.
5 years ago, after the birth of my youngest child, I started a diabetes account on Facebook and Instagram. Through these media I managed to help many people with questions, depression and frustration. From diet to exercise or questions regarding lowering your Hba1C and much more, I enjoyed this work. It was measurable success to see people lift their heads up again and experience life to the fullest. Diabetes didn’t have to stop us from enjoying and living life!!
After 5 years I decided to get my certifications for Diabetes Management with the ADCES. I learned even more and now I can offer courses well tailored to newly diagnosed people with diabetes. And for patients that have been suffering for too long. It’s my goal to make life living with diabetes fun and enjoyable and easier again.
